27 regions,
36 availability zones

Five areas — Asia-Pacific, North America, Europe, the Middle East & Africa and Latin America — with multi-carrier BGP access; private latency under 0.5 ms within a zone and under 2 ms across zones in a region. Native IPs are delivered in the same region as your cloud hosts.

Region codes match the API's region parameter; families on sale and stock are shown live in the console.

02 / HOW TO CHOOSE

How to choose a region

Three rules cover almost every case.

Closest to your users

Singapore or Kuala Lumpur for Southeast Asia, Hong Kong or Tokyo for East Asia, Sydney for Oceania, Los Angeles or Toronto for North America, Frankfurt or Paris for Europe, Johannesburg for Africa. Private latency inside a region is 2 ms; intercontinental public latency is usually 150 ms or more.

Southeast Asia → Singapore / Kuala LumpurEast Asia → Hong Kong / TokyoNorth America → Los Angeles / TorontoEurope → Frankfurt / ParisOceania → Sydney

Need a native IP? Pick that country

Native IPs bind only inside their delivery region; if the store is in Japan, put the instance in Tokyo and bind a JP native IP.

IP country = region countryIn-stock IPs bind instantly

High availability across two zones

Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Sydney, Washington, Los Angeles and Frankfurt have multiple zones; spread applications and databases across two so a single-zone fault never takes the business down.

03 / FAQ

Frequently asked questions

About regions, zones and cross-region access.

A region is a geographic area, usually one city, made up of one or more physically isolated zones with independent power; zones in a region are connected privately with latency under 2 ms, which is what high-availability deployments rely on.

Not by default. Connect them with the dedicated line product or go over the public internet; cross-region data sync is best done at the application layer or through database replication.

An instance itself cannot move between regions. Turn the system disk into a custom image, copy it to the target region and create a new instance from it; clone data disks from snapshots.

Ask sales to request stock, or deploy in a large region of the same area (Hong Kong, Singapore, Frankfurt, Washington), where public latency is usually under 30 ms.

Every region provides a latency test address (see the console); test with ping or mtr from where your users are, or spin up the smallest instance by the hour for a real load test and release it.

They are planned around customer demand; if you need a deployment in a specific country, register the need with sales — regions open first where demand reaches scale.
